The presence of God filled the room as the guitar was strummed and the hands of a talented young woman played the keys on the keyboard. It was a small room with a few people in it, but where there are two or more children who are hungry for more, Jesus comes into the room and gives us of Himself freely. When we ask Him for bread, He won’t give us a stone (Luke 11:11-13). His presence permeated the the very essence of the room so that it felt as if the air was heavy with God’s glory. This is heaven on earth.

CGA has begun and week one was a whirlwind. It was fun. It was difficult. It was filled with laughter and the awkwardness of new people. Our week had games one moment and the Word of God blowing into the room like an atomic bomb the next.

God is calling me into a season of intimacy with Him. A closeness that will bring new levels of freedom and power. He is calling me to walk in the authority He has granted me with the humility that only He can give. This time of my life will be marked by community and service. I will pour out as He pours in and I cannot wait to see what He will do. Discipleship is the key. As I live in close proximity to men and women of great faith, I will learn what it means to count the cost and give my all from those who have already made the choice. I have so much to learn in this season. I have so much to give in this season.

This is not a time to sit back, relax, and just coast through what is happening. This is the time to act! This is a time where God is calling me to deeper levels of trust as I step out of comfort zones to make a difference in the sphere I am in. As I become freer to be who God created me to be, that freedom will spread to those around me. There’s no pressure to perform because all that God wants to do through me will be a product of what He is doing in me. It is a product of being a daughter! What a beautiful process!

God is so good and I am pumped to see the goodness of God in the land of the living!
“A saint is not someone who is good but who experiences the goodness of God.” -Brennan Manning, The Ragamuffin Gospel
