God’s Great Masterpiece

As we sat in the circle, I looked around the room at all of the new faces. So many precious women sitting next to me and I am so incredibly blessed to live among them. We were doing devotions and our focus was to learn more about the girls we would be sharing time with every night. With so many girls, we have changed devotions so that each girl’s group is the house she lives in.

I am in Grace House! The new house filled with new girls, and I love it. Our first meet together was amazing and I was so blessed as we spent our time getting to know one another on a deeper level. Ruth, one of our Kingdom Journey girls, had the brilliant idea of having us go around the circle saying our names, ages, our favorite songs, and why. It is amazing what one can learn about someone from learning their favorite song.

Each of the girls shared their favorite songs and as they said why, I wanted to cry. One of the girls shared that her favorite song was “Come Away with Me.” “When I heard it the first time, I said ‘Yes Jesus, I will come away with You.'” Another girl shared that her favorite song was “At The Cross” because she had come here (to Wipe Every Tear) and had left her old life at the cross.

With each girl’s song and why, I was filled with awe. It is the Holy Spirit doing His work on the inside of all of us and it is a beautiful masterpiece. God is taking hearts and weaving beautiful tapestries, painting pieces of timeless art, turning ashes into beauty, taking tears and turning them in to laughter. I cannot get over the awe of watching the Father’s hands work as He forms clay into beautiful sculptures. He is the great Artist, His canvas, our hearts.
